Every night we have devotions (“devos”) in our cabin. We do different things to get the point of the devotion than just reading the Bible. One night we had devos out under the stars. The subject was not to gossip, so we played telephone. We did different messages each time and they always came out different (just like gossip does).
The most exciting devo we had was last night. Detour was talking about how God knows what is going to happen in your life next before you do. Then she asked us how we felt about it. While this was happening, a teeny tiny bug started crawling across the floor. Well, Victoria was trying to kill it with her shoe while also trying not to interrupt the devotion. While “not” interrupting, she couldn’t really keep from laughing, so she made this face that was obviously really funny to Gabriella. LAUGH ATTACKS! She just burst out laughing and literally couldn’t stop. She swayed back and forth, back and forth with a hilarious smile on her face.
At first, everybody thought she would stop and just stared at her. But she didn’t stop–it just got worse. We asked if she needed to go out and take a breath, then BOOM she laughed even harder. Pretty soon a lot of us started laughing. The counselors, Detour and Sneakers, just stared at us and tried to get us to stop. By this time, Gabriella was rolling on the floor.
Pretty soon Detour and Sneakers decided to tell her to laugh into her pillow, so she did that for about 2 minutes. I had never before seen somebody laugh as long as she did. Ha ha ha!
